Bobcat GPS Collar Multi-Year Study

Hours & Locations

PAWS is conducting a multi-year study of orphaned bobcats (Lynx rufus) who have been rehabilitated at the center and released back into the wild as subadults. The GPS collars are safely fixed to each bobcat before release and are designed to naturally detach over time. Each collar transmits valuable data that informs future management of these animals.

If you encounter a device associated with this study, please reach out to the PAWS Wildlife Center team by phone 425-412-4040 x 917 or by emailing [email protected] for recommendations.

If you’re in possession of a deceased animal wearing one of these collars, please contact us before processing or disposing of the carcass so we can collect further information regarding the animal’s health.
