Lola with the crooked tooth smile
By Roxeane of Lynnwood, PAWS shelter volunteer
Her doggy hugs won me over instantly.
My name is Roxane and my dog is Lola. We adopted her from PAWS in August 2018 after she was transferred from a shelter in San Juan, TX. She was very scared but so cuddly and just needed love and attention. I was a kennel attendant volunteer at PAWS and I saw her for the first time right after she arrived. I fell in love with her when she put her paw through the kennel to reach out to me.

I walked into her kennel and she hugged me around the waist and wouldn’t let go. That’s when I knew I had to take her home! Luckily, she was a great match for our family and she became best friends with my husband the minute they met. We ended up bringing her home two days later and she started coming out of her shell to become the happy and silly dog she is now. Lola is such a loving pup, she loves running on the beach, eating chicken and cuddling with everyone she meets. The funniest and cutest thing she does is smile back at us with her crooked teeth when she gets belly rubs.
