Jeff, Piñon and Freya

An adorable feline threesome.

In 2017, we decided to foster cats to see if our then, 6-year-old twins were gentle enough to have pets. We fostered Freya, a 1.5-year-old stray nursing mama, and her five, 4-week-old kittens for three months. Initially, we had intended to adopt only one or two cats, but we fell in love with two of the boys, Jeff and Piñon, as well as mama Freya.

Piñon is a puppy cat who loves to play fetch with green beans and roll avocado pits with his paw. He also loves to groom his people’s hair (and sometimes chews on it, too).

Jeff loves to join his people in the sauna and drops his toy mice on his people’s beds and pillows.

Freya nuzzles laptop corners so hard she closes them and she also adores lying in front of the vents when the heating is on.

All three bring great joy to their companions.
