Freddie and Chicken

By The Eagen-Torkko Family

We had to get a kitten for our kitten…

In winter 2016, our senior cat was on a slow decline. He LOVED kittens. We foster cats and kittens for PAWS so we decided to make one of our foster kittens a forever foster. While we didn’t plan it, Winfred Winston (we call him Freddie) came home the day after Mason died. He was a playful, confident kitten and drove our older cats bananas. So we got a kitten for our kitten.

Kevin Hei Hei (we call him Chicken, because he’s the color of a Rhode Island Red) also became a forever foster and joined our family in early 2017. They are bonded and spend much of their time chasing each other’s and their much older sister, much to her annoyance.

Freddie fetches and Chicken loves nothing more than to chase his wand toy at full speed. They sleep together and groom one another, their toe floof on full display. Freddie likes to sleep stretched out on his back (he snores!) and Chicken prefers to snuggle up with his people, especially his favorite girl, Sophie.

They bring so much joy to our family, we can’t imagine life without them. Thank you PAWS!
